My ankle was fine upto a few weeks ago????????

my ankle was fine upto a few weeks ago, i was playing basketball on it one night but when i got home it just flared up again swelled up all of a sudden and got sore, i had to take tablets for relief from the soreness. that was a thursday night a couple of weeks back then on the saturday i still had it only this time my whole leg got quite stiff the only thing that kept my leg from stiffening up was when i walked a bit on it, at the moment i have a weakness in the lower back of my leg i feel it when i stand on it my leg feels wobbly at times, sometimes i do have a cracking noise in my leg/foot and i do get a sharp pain in the back of my foot.
