Pain in the lower left side of my back?

i've been havin pain in the left side of my back for about 2 months now. Last nite while in the shower, by back stiffened and from then on the pain has been unbearable. My sister tried giving me a massage and every spot she touched was left me in pain. Afterwards I felt a little relieved but still in much pain.
