Having membranes stripped at 36 weeks?

this is my second pregnancy and boy i am sooooo uncomfortable i have been getting alot of pelvic pressure and my lower back will stiffen up at a drop of a hat it seems like, at my next dr apt. i will be 35 weeks 6 days and i was wondering if i should ask her to strip my membranes i want this baby born already :)
